Shanghai made the month

October belonged to Champions Shanghai. The group-stage squeeze gave way to playoffs, then LOUD beat Vitality in the Grand Final, turning Sunday, October 18 into the month’s loudest hour on Twitch: 240K viewers across the game’s channels. That was the tournament doing exactly what a world championship should do, making every co-stream feel like somebody had hidden the remote.

GOFNS was the unofficial control room. His NRG versus T1 watch party produced the month’s biggest single stream at 69K viewers, and he kept popping up whenever the bracket got interesting. FNS did not just cover Champions, he moved into it, put his feet up, and apparently changed the Wi-Fi password.

The encore had teeth

Champions ended, but VALORANT barely exhaled before Game Changers Championship action took over. Squeezie turned Gentle Mates matches into major events, peaking at 54K viewers as the late-month bracket heated up. The official VALORANT channel handled the main broadcast while French watch parties supplied the extra shouting.

The new Act arrived in the middle of the calendar, then Hush joined the game near month’s end. That gave ranked streams a shiny new laboratory rat, with gon_vl riding a new-agent showdown to 20K viewers. Competitive VALORANT had barely packed its bags before everyone was back in queue, pressing buttons they absolutely had not read yet.

A sharper peak, a thinner middle

VALORANT finished at #6 among games on Twitch with 12.1 million hours watched. That was down 2 percent from September, while average viewership slipped 6 percent. Yet the peak jumped 37 percent. Translation: fewer sleepy afternoons, more calendar-circled weekends where everyone suddenly remembered they had an opinion about a timeout.

The grind never disappeared. cloudey led the live-hours marathon with 252 hours, while Subroza put in 220. Meanwhile, 81 streamers kept the category moving between event spikes. October’s story was not an empty lobby, it was a lobby waiting for the next bracket alarm.

Next queue up

The Game Changers run rolls into the next month, Hush has entered the ranked ecosystem, and 71 scheduled VALORANT segments from 4 channels are already waiting in the calendar. The tournament spotlight may cool, but the queue is clearly not going anywhere.

October proved the formula still works: one world-title climax, one fresh competition, one new agent, and enough watch-party microphones to make every clutch sound legally binding.
