The tournament lit the fuse
League of Legends did not creep into October, it kicked the door off its hinges. The Worlds patch arrived before the event, then Play-Ins gave way to Swiss, turning a steady month into a late-month stampede.
The result was 54.5M hours watched, up 147%, with average viewership jumping 139% to 73K. The best hour hit 657K combined viewers on Twitch, and League kept its #1 seat among games. Worlds was the main event, the waiting room was somehow also the main event, and solo queue kept getting dragged onstage between acts.
Caedrel owned the waiting room
Caedrel made anticipation into a spectator sport. His biggest single stream reached 308K viewers on Friday, October 23, when Worlds Swiss began. The month’s biggest peaks were a parade of his Worlds broadcasts, proving that a stream can begin with ladder games and still end with a small nation yelling about draft.
This was not merely a one-day spike. Caedrel logged 238 hours across 25 streams, and Worlds gave every long pre-show, elimination match, draw, and solo queue detour the urgency of a fire drill. His 21.2M viewer-hours were the loudest proof that commentary has become part of the tournament ritual, not just the furniture around it.
The co-stream party had range
Jynxzi supplied October’s beautifully chaotic detour, pulling 206K viewers for a 40-streamer League tournament while trying to push Gold. He also led follower gains with 284,700, which is what happens when competitive ambition, Drops, and a room full of creators all agree to become content at once.
Elsewhere, Kamet0 and ibai helped make Worlds feel properly international, while fps_shaka kept Japan’s side of the month busy. And beneath the arena lights, agurin put in 424 hours of pure League commitment. Somebody had to keep the ladder warm while the planet watched Swiss.

Loose cannon notes
- Caedrel set the month’s most alarming side quest: if Lion beat Gen.G, the internet would receive toe pictures. The stakes were apparently not high enough already.
- He also declared war on Pick’Ems, promising to do knockout picks only after the field had been sorted. A strategic retreat, dressed as administrative rage.
The bracket keeps moving
Worlds moved into its knockout stretch in November, so October’s co-stream boom had an obvious encore queued. Riot Games and Caedrel both had more tournament and regional broadcasts on the calendar.
Schedules already showed 100 League segments from 8 streamers over the coming 28 days. That is enough LoL to keep the kettle on permanently, and possibly enough solo queue to test international relations.
