Finals made the month roar
Dota spent October looking quieter on paper, then loudly objected on the biggest Sunday. Viewer-hours slipped 16% and average viewership fell 19%, but the combined peak leapt 68% to 129K as BLAST SLAM VIII hit its grand final. That is tournament gravity, the kind that drags every snack break into overtime.
Nix owned the biggest individual blast, reaching 86K while co-streaming Team Yandex against Team Spirit in the final. Team Yandex took the trophy, and Dota got its monthly reminder that a bracket can be a perfectly legal excuse to cancel every other plan.
Streamer League, maximum elbows
The next act barely let the post-finals dust settle. The 1win Streamers League put creator-led teams in the spotlight, and Nix kept turning the middle of the month into appointment viewing with playoff clashes and a marquee collision against ALOHADANCE’s crew.
stariy_bog then brought the closer, peaking at 58K for the final against Gorgc’s team. It was a personal peak record, a huge follower haul, and a tidy explanation for why the channel climbed the category’s follow ranking. Competitive Dota is serious business, right until streamer teams make it gloriously personal.
Gorgc clocked in for the long game
Late October belonged to PARI UNIVERSE, where the group stage rolled into playoffs and Gorgc became the English-language viewing room with the lights permanently on. His official co-streams carried the daily peaks through the final stretch, while 258 hours live made the channel less a broadcast schedule and more a zoning issue.
That marathon mattered. Gorgc finished atop the watch-hours list with 2.2 million hours watched, while Dota landed at #9 among games on Twitch. The month had fewer live hours overall, down 29%, but the big events concentrated the crowd into much louder rooms.

The side quests
- Gorgc streamed for 12 hours and 16 minutes during a PARI UNIVERSE playoff day. At that point, the co-stream was legally a residence.
- Nix admitted he had not played a single practice game before the tournament. Preparation is apparently optional when confidence arrives fully upgraded.
- Stray228 spent a Dota session as birthday celebrations were getting underway. Nothing says party planning like a fresh argument about the mid lane.
- LenaGol0vach ended a match with 42K damage, then joked that much of it appeared after the shopping phase finally kicked in. Inventory management, but make it artillery.
Next queue up
The calendar is already loading more Dota: 19 upcoming segments begin on Monday, November 9, with Arteezy promising ranked climbing, casting, and a little fun along the way. After October’s tournament relay, “a little” may be doing dangerous amounts of work.
