Day by day
Dashed line: September 2026, aligned by day of the month.
The Pro League made a monster
Counter-Strike rocketed to #3 among games on Twitch, with 18.4 million hours watched, more than double September's haul. The calendar did the heavy lifting: ESL Pro League Season 24 packed the opening stretch, where Vitality ultimately took the trophy and Aurora finished the event with a strong closing run.
StRoGo was the month’s indispensable desk captain, live for 248 hours across 30 streams. On Friday, October 9, Counter-Strike’s combined peak hit 192K viewers, while StRoGo’s Aurora versus 1w broadcast alone reached 109K, the month’s biggest single-channel moment. One tournament, one watch party, one very busy refresh button.
That Friday spike was not a random grenade through a smoke. Aurora’s playoff match supplied the stakes, and the early-month run of Vitality, NaVi, Spirit, Falcons and Aurora fixtures gave the category a daily reason to gather around the server.
The middle weekend found new co-stars
After Pro League, Thunderpick World Championship 2026 kept the tournament conveyor belt moving. The event produced a messy, compelling route to a FURIA win, while Aurora and Falcons met again in the placement match.
Aunkere seized that window with a 74K peak for Falcons versus Aurora, a personal best that left the old mark in the rear-view mirror. shadowkekw also cracked 71K the day before. The middle of October was proof that Counter-Strike did not need one permanent main character, it just needed a bracket with enough spite in it.
The category also expanded its cast, with 64 streamers active, up from 59. Aunkere’s constant match coverage and a perfect Counter-Strike-only month helped turn tournament browsing into appointment viewing rather than background noise.
Bucharest closed the door loudly
The final week rolled into PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, where FURIA beat Nemiga in the final. That gave October a third competitive act instead of the usual post-event hangover, and the biggest daily broadcasts swung back toward the familiar tournament-watch rhythm.
bySL4M arrived and immediately became a major watch-time force, while stariy_bog found room for the private-club side of the calendar. Russian-language channels accounted for 15 million viewer-hours, making the language scene less of a supporting act and more of the engine with the hood removed.
The workload was equally ridiculous. Michel narrowly out-streamed StRoGo, but StRoGo turned that marathon into 6.9 million viewer-hours and gained 62K followers. When Counter-Strike had a match to sell, he was already in the lobby, headset on, title blinking.

Loose rounds
- StRoGo ended the month offering a knife giveaway after a challenge. Nothing says wholesome community bonding quite like putting expensive virtual cutlery on the table.
- skywhywalker missed a donation request for 3 hours, then promised the next stream would open with the requested anime track. Administrative justice, delivered with a soundtrack.
- Aunkere discovered a 99-ruble mouse and treated it like an archaeological breakthrough from AliExpress.
- Valkyrae was still chasing the 16K ELO goal, while describing the climb as being 1,600 ELO in the wrong direction. Counter-Strike ranked play remains an excellent way to meet despair personally.
Next queue up
The tournament storm has passed, but the schedule is not exactly empty: 67 Counter-Strike segments are already announced across 5 streamers, beginning Monday, November 9. n0thing, ohnePixel and skywhywalker are among the names keeping the server browser warm.
October showed the formula clearly: marquee matches create the blast radius, and committed co-streamers keep it glowing after the trophy photo. If another stacked event lands, Counter-Strike has plenty of hosts ready to turn every timeout into a headline.
