Day by day
Dashed line: September 2026, aligned by day of the month.
The switch flipped hard
October began with Warzone ranked regulars such as DiazBiffle and SkyrrozTV holding down the fort. Then Modern Warfare 4 arrived in stages, with campaign access, DMZ opening up, and the full multiplayer launch turning the calendar into a very organized ambush.
That explains the whiplash. Call of Duty leapt to #12 among games on Twitch, pulled 5.6M hours watched, and hit a combined peak of 74,766 viewers. Modern Warfare 4 supplied nearly all of the action, while Warzone abruptly looked like the quiet room at a party nobody told it was hosting.
The migration was not subtle. DiazBiffle, chowh1, SkyrrozTV, fifakillvizualz and TeePee all moved their audience from Warzone to Modern Warfare 4. The launch did not merely add a new category, it relocated the regulars, the grinders and several people apparently allergic to logging off.
Peanut ran the launch-week circus
TheBurntPeanut became October's human fireworks display. His biggest individual stream peaked at 50,450 viewers, while the month’s combined Call of Duty high reached 74,766. Different peaks, same conclusion: launch week had a very loud ringmaster.
DMZ gave the month its co-stream chemistry set. Peanut brought in familiar faces, stretched extraction runs into marathons, and then charged straight into multiplayer without the traditional courtesy of sleep. NICKMERCS and HutchMF helped make the new game feel less like a release and more like a house full of friends yelling tactical advice through closed doors.
The launch also travelled. IlloJuan, Gotaga, stylishnoob4 and 加藤純一うん〇ちゃん all delivered major spikes, proving the Modern Warfare 4 rush did not need one language or one crew. It just needed a lobby and someone willing to call a bad plan genius.
The grind kept the lights on
After the first rush, the usual Call of Duty work ethic arrived with a shovel. fifakillvizualz streamed 269 hours, JoeWo put in 168, and TeePee logged 155. Modern Warfare 4 had the spectacle, but its real engine was the familiar camo-grind workforce refusing to let a weapon challenge go unfinished.
DiazBiffle stayed an especially tidy symbol of the pivot, carrying 278,857 viewer-hours after moving over from Warzone. By month’s end, the camo grind was done. The game had changed, the chores had not, and that is how Call of Duty likes it.
Gotaga kept the French side busy with tournament chatter and scrims, while NICKMERCS, cloakzy and Swiftor set personal viewing highs. The post-launch crowd did not instantly evaporate, which is about as close to a compliment as an annual shooter ever receives.

Loose rounds
- TheBurntPeanut fake-ended a stream twice, and chat fell for the second exit too. Never underestimate the power of a convincing goodbye and a viewer base that has already committed to the bit.
- Peanut also signed off with his recurring verdict: good, bad, good, then the admission that he was bad. A complete emotional campaign in one sentence.
- NICKMERCS said the next stream’s sports chat would include a parlay sweat. The extraction shooter briefly became an extraction from financial peace.
- HutchMF claimed he might finish the game before Peanut because Peanut was a poor scammer. Competitive friendship remains Call of Duty’s most reliable game mode.
- DiazBiffle wrapped the camo grind before Halloween. Somewhere, a launcher challenge stared into the middle distance and accepted defeat.
November has more ammunition
The launch hangover has not arrived yet. There are 76 scheduled Call of Duty segments from 5 streamers in the coming weeks, with chowh1, Swiftor and TeePee among the names keeping both Warzone and Modern Warfare 4 on the calendar.
October showed the formula clearly: DMZ supplies the stories, multiplayer supplies the grind, and the co-streams supply the noise. If that balance holds, Call of Duty’s next month should be loud enough to wake the dead, then challenge them to a nuke run.
